What is Ella?

Ella is a new Learning Management System, similar to Google Classroom, Instructure Canvas or PowerSchool Schoology, but with functionality designed to "elevate learning" for students and teachers.

For students, Ella helps with planning to complete schoolwork, time management in completing it, prioritization, goal setting, achieving goals, and staying focused on tasks you start. That's a group of life skills called "executive functioning" and has been attributed by experts including the Harvard Center for the Developing Child, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative, among others - all organizations focused on transforming primary and secondary education in order to improve student achievement, mental health and narrowing the achievement gap between students with greater means and those without those means.

That's a long way of saying that Ella helps students perform better in school by learning some tricks to stay on top of your schoolwork, improve the quality of your work, and earn better grades.

For teachers, Ella reduces administrative busywork so that you can spend more time teaching and knowing every child. We do this by automatically doing things that most teachers do manually today.
