Yes, Ella works with Google Docs!
Teachers can upload/attach Google Doc files to lessons, assignments, tests, and the class syllabus. Furthermore, students can submit their assignments via Google Docs. Users can also attach standard file types like pdfs, images, Microsoft Office files, etc.
The first time that teachers or students go to attach a Google Doc, they will be asked to connect their Google account to Ella. Once the accounts are connected, users can easily attach files from Google whenever they need!
